One of our international speakers is Mr Eric Yip, from Hong Kong.

His presentation topic in our upcoming Surveyors' Congress is "Project Management : A case study in Shanghai"

Eric Yip is an M&E Engineer with BEng (Hons) of Building Services Engineering from University of Northumbria at Newcastle; He also has MEng of Building Services Engineering degree from University of West Coast of Management & Technology Australia

Mr Eric Yip has been involved in some mega projects in China such as the Shanghai Arch, the Shanghai ifc, etc.

The Shanghai ifc is located in CBD of Lujiazui Shanghai. The development has an approximate 620,000m2 with 2 office towers 260m high, 300,000m2 shopping mall with 2098no of carparks, service apartment and 6-star rating Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

The project is served by a central chiller plant with the biggest capacity of 20,000 RT water-cooled chiller system in the commercial industry in Shanghai.

Shanghai ifc is a fast track project. Mr Eric Yip was responsible for the M&E design development on site for this project.

 

Mr Eric Yip's involvement in other projects include

* the MegaBox located in Enterprise Square 5, Kowloon Bay

* Beijing International Club - RC & Services Apartment
